Lori Mirek, a longtime technology executive, served Oracle Corporation as vice president of Americas marketing and senior director of worldwide marketing in the early 1990s. She subsequently guided worldwide marketing initiatives for Netscape Communications Corporation and led America Online, Inc.’s strategic efforts in the business-to-business eCommerce sphere. Lori Mirek founded Currenex, Inc., in 1999 and served as its CEO until 2002. She positioned the firm as a pioneering facilitator of online multi-bank money markets and foreign currency exchange transactions. The company earned FXweek’s “Best Multi-bank FX Portal” award in 2002 and received recognition from Global Finance, Euromoney, and Technologics Partners as well.
Ms. Mirek has been the board director of the Harvard Business School Association’s Northern California chapter since 2003. She served as chairperson of the organization’s International Alumni Committee and yearly Business Leader Dinner. Lori Mirek also holds board director responsibilities with the World Affairs Council of Northern California and is a member of its marketing committee.
